Akhnoor (Jammu), Jan 14 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday praised soldiers for sacrificing “their today to safeguard the tomorrow” of their countrymen. Speaking at the Armed Forces Veterans Day event here, Omar, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, “We sleep peacefully because we know you are guarding the borders and will fight the enemies of the country." “I am lucky to be among you on Veterans Day. You have sacrificed your today for our tomorrow. You didn’t care for your lives; you did whatever you could for the nation. You were always ready to sacrifice everything for the country,” he added. Reiterating the Jammu and Kashmir Government’s commitment to the welfare of veterans, the Chief Minister said, “It is our duty to take care of your needs. We are not doing any favor by helping you; we are indebted to you.
